Our business objective is to engage in electrical
contracting for the Southeastern United States, specializing
in the areas of industrial and commercial contracting.
We place a high emphasis upon those projects requiring specialized
engineering and knowledge, such as design, build, high voltage,
airport systems and automation; also having the capability
to provide professional engineering services through an affiliated
engineering corporation.
It is the desire and intent of
the management to provide safe, stimulating, interesting and

and most respected electrical contracting firms in the area
of our operations. Our employees are the standard by which
our company will be evaluated by customers, trade associates
and the general public. Accordingly, it is our intention
to employ only conscientious, knowledgeable personnel who have
the potential of helping the company to become known as one

Barnes & Powell Electrical Company, Inc. was organized as a North
Carolina Corporation in July, 1978 by William L. Powell and H. M.
Barnes, Jr. The present company work force is comprised of approximately 60
personnel. Average annual construction volume over last 5 years has
been over $10,000,000.00.
