Underground and High Voltage Distribution |
We have extensive experience installing direct buried cables
and conduits up to 24-way concrete encased duct banks. This includes
control wiring up to 25kV distribution throughout universities, hospitals,
manufacturing and office locations. Customers include Rex Hospital
(Raleigh, NC), UNC at Wilmington, KCST (Tarboro, NC), IBM (Research Triangle
Park), N.C. State University, RDU Airport, and several others. Our
experience includes pole mounted transformers and cut-outs from utility
substations down to buried manholes, PMH, PME transformers and sectionalizing
switches, generators ranging in size from 5kW to 2MW. Safety and
coordination of shutdowns are priorities with this type of work; we maintain
a high-voltage trailer with two Anderson tools and a Greenlee hydraulic
crimp tool with die, an assortment of splice and termination kits, lugs,
crimp sleeves, and numerous pairs of Class II gloves with up-to-date testing.
We have a wide range of concrete forming and placing experience for generators,
switches, transformers, sidewalks, retaining walls, and stairwells.
Five backhoes, two dump trucks, one each of a boom truck, line truck,
and bucket truck allow easy mobility to the job site. Approximately
75% of our employees possess 3M certified splicing and terminating training.
Ten employees posses trenching and excavation competent person certification.
Projects in underground and medium voltage distribution have been completed
in value up to $3 million. |

and light base lighting, REIL's, regulators, approach lighting including
PAPI's, VASI's and rotating beacons, threshold lighting, MASLR's, and
associated vault and tower computers and controls for local and regional
airports up to major commercial air centers. Customers include RDU,
CDIA and the Global Transpark, as well as military facilities including
Andrews Air Force Base, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, and Cherry Point
MCAS. We have worked closely with Siemens Airfield Solutions and
Crouse-Hinds Airport Lighting to perform new installations and major overhauls
of existing systems. Precision is required for these installations
and we posses all the tools necessary to start your airfield from the
beginning or service at a later date. These include transits, levels,
four trenchers, a line truck with auger sizes from 12" up to 36",
wire trailers, and airport radios to maintain contact with the tower and
ground. Projects in airport lighting and controls have been completed
in value up to $3 million. |
